To make your prep easier, we’ve rounded up some of the best official study materials from the College Board. These tools include full-length practice tests, thousands of practice questions, and even past exams—all free and designed to help you succeed.

Whether you’re just starting your SAT prep or looking to fine-tune your skills, these resources are a fantastic way to build confidence and get closer to your goals. Here’s everything you need to know to get started.

1. Bluebook App: 6 Digital SATs, 4 PSATs & Essays

The Bluebook app is the College Board’s official SAT prep app. It’s free to download and works on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. Inside the app, you’ll find 6 full-length Digital SATs, 4 PSAT practice tests, and even essay prompts to help you prepare if your school requires essays.

Why It’s Helpful: The app lets you practice in the same digital format as the real test, helping you get comfortable with the layout and timing. Plus, it tracks your progress so you can see where to focus your energy.

How to Get Started: Download the Bluebook App and start practicing today!

  1. Full-Length Paper-Based Practice Tests (6 Non-Adaptive DSATs)

If you prefer studying offline, these 6 paper-based Digital SAT practice tests are a great option. They’re designed to reflect the content and timing of the real test, though they don’t include the adaptive format of the Digital SAT.

Why They’re Useful: These tests are perfect for practicing under timed conditions and building stamina. They also help you strengthen foundational skills in reading, writing, and math.

How to Use Them: Take them like you would on test day—timed and in a quiet space. Afterward, review your answers to see where you can improve.

  1. SAT Suite Question Bank: Thousands of Practice Questions

The SAT Suite Question Bank is an incredible resource with thousands of official questions from the SAT and PSAT. You can find it on the College Board website and filter questions by topic, section, or difficulty to customize your practice.

Why It’s Great: If you’re working on a specific skill, like algebra or grammar, this question bank is a lifesaver. It’s perfect for targeted practice, and the detailed answer explanations help you understand what you got right—or wrong.

4. DSAT Sample Questions & Answer Explanations

This set of 33 practice questions is a quick way to get familiar with the types of problems you’ll see on the Digital SAT. Each question comes with a step-by-step explanation, making it great for learning how to approach tricky problems.

Why Use It? It’s perfect for short, focused practice sessions, especially if you’re just starting out and want to understand how SAT questions work.

How to Use Them: Work through a few questions at a time and really dive into the explanations to learn the reasoning behind each answer.

  1. SAT Past Papers (2022–2023)

The 2022 and 2023 past SAT papers are real tests from the paper-based version of the SAT. While the format is different from the Digital SAT, the questions still focus on key skills like reading comprehension, math reasoning, and grammar.

Why They’re Still Valuable: These exams are a great way to practice foundational skills and build your confidence. They’re also a good way to get a feel for the types of questions the SAT typically asks.

How to Use Them: Use these papers to work on time management and practice solving problems under pressure. Even though the format has changed, the content is still highly relevant.
